How does the NBA spin the wheel work?

All 30 teams are preloaded: 15 from each conference, the 76ers to the Wizards (the Blazers chip is the Portland Trail Blazers, kept short so it sits whole on its slice). Every team gets an identical slice, and the winner comes from a random seed generated the moment you press SPIN, the same seed lives in the share link, so anyone can replay your exact spin.

What can you decide with an NBA team wheel?

Random-team saves, mostly: starting a 2K MyNBA or franchise run with the team fate assigns (tank, rebuild, and all) is the classic use, and spinning in front of the group chat is the contract you can't back out of. How do you run a random NBA team challenge?

The rule that makes a random-team save fun is deciding everything before the wheel moves. Spin first, complain later:

  • Press Reset wheel so all 30 teams are loaded, not the edited list from last time.
  • Agree the terms out loud first: how many seasons you have to stay, and whether trades are allowed.
  • Spin once. Whatever it lands on is the team, rebuild and all.
  • Copy the share link before you start playing. It replays the identical spin, which is your proof you did not quietly respin.
  • For a harder run, spin again with "Remove the winner after each spin" on and give each person in the group a different franchise.
