How does the sweepstake generator work?

Type one name per line and press Draw teams. The 48 qualified teams are shuffled and dealt out in turn, like a deck of cards, so every team is assigned and every person gets an equal share, give or take one team.

Is the draw fair?

Yes. The teams are shuffled with a uniform random shuffle before being dealt, so every person has exactly the same chance of landing any team. Nobody, including us, can influence who gets whom.

Is this gambling?

No. PlaySpinWheel handles no money, sets no stakes, and pays no prizes. It only assigns teams to names; whatever your office does with biscuits afterwards is your business.

How many people can join?

Up to 48, one team each at most. With fewer people, the deal continues around the table until all 48 teams are gone, so a pool of 12 gives each person four teams.

Do you store the names I type?

Only in your own browser, so the list is still there when you come back. Nothing you type is sent to a server, and there is no account or signup.
